Rebekah Butler is the Executive Director of Museums & Galleries Queensland (M&G QLD), the peak professional body for public museums and galleries in Queensland – a sector comprising more than 400 public galleries, museums, Indigenous keeping places and heritage organisations.

Prior to her appointment at M&G QLD in 2007, Rebekah held positions including Manager of the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery, NSW and Director of Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts, Townsville. With more than twenty years' experience in arts and cultural heritage, she is a passionate advocate for the sector, contributing to an extensive range of industry reference groups, publications, industry Boards and committees.

Rebekah holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Monash University, and Graduate Diploma Art History and Curatorship, Australian National University.
