Matt Kirby has been working in the creative tech industry since 1997 having collaborated with some of the biggest companies in world to deliver Augmented Reality to AI to mobile games to music videos even appearing as a dancing banana in a major record label music video.

Matt has won international awards, has been featured in international publications and has spoken all over the world about creative tech in particular Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, AI and Game Development.

Matt launched Qld XR Festival in 2021 bringing the best Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Games, Animation, Short Films, Digital Art and Animation to Queensland. and has successfully followed it up with Qld XR Festival 2022. Matt continues to expand Qld XR Festival with quarterly in-person and virtual events as well as the state-wide Qld XR Festival 2023 in May 2023 with new categories such as creative AI
