Marianne Wobcke is a 2021 recipient of the Australia Council Ros Bower Award for Community Arts and Cultural Development. Marianne has connections to Girrimay mob in North Queensland, her maternal Grandmother's Country. She was born and currently studies on Turrbal land.
Marianne is a registered nurse and midwife, with 40 years experience, working specifically on Indigenous birthing practices and trauma recovery.
As a professional artist graduating with Honours at Queensland College of Art. Demonstrating the power of arts/health practices, Marianne has created and employs holistic models of care: Perinatal Dreaming and Understanding Country
Marianne is a key member of the Arts Health Network Queensland and a leader in creative wellbeing.
