Lisa trained extensively in her home town of Sydney, worked as a freelance dancer, completed a Diploma in Visual Arts and taught dance at the Bodenweiser Dance Centre. In Adelaide she completed a degree in Dance at Adelaide University and an Advanced Diploma in Acting at Adelaide College of the Arts.

As teacher, lecturer, performer, mentor, director or choreographer Lisa worked for The Australia Council, Country Arts SA, Carclew Youth Arts, State Theatre Company SA, Australian Dance Theatre, Adelaide and Darwin Festival and Fringe, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Cabaret Fringe, Adelaide University, Adelaide College of the Arts, schools across South Australia, local Councils, private corporations and Singapore International Fringe Festival.

She co-founded dance theatre company Splinter, was a cabaret performer with The Tapperuccis and as co-director of BodySONG runs community singing and cross-artform theatre projects across Adelaide. Lisa creates community dance projects for older persons, disabled persons, intergenerational groups plus master classes for Parkinson’s SA and Active Ageing Australia.

Lisa performs, choreographs and directs work for companies and institutions and acts for film and television. Her career in both professional and community contexts has also imparted much to her creative praxis and a desire to make astonishing work.
