Julie Vulcan is an interdisciplinary artist and PhD candidate at Western Sydney University. Her work spanning performance, installation, digital media, and text has been presented nationally and internationally. Her writing and reviews have appeared in a Power publication, TEXT, Art + Australia, RealTime Arts, and independent publications alongside fictions for social media platforms. Her ongoing research project reimagines notions of the dark to inform speculative imaginings for multispecies worldings. Julie lives and works on Gundungurra and Tharawal country south-west of Sydney.
