Julie is a proud Gumbaynggirr/ Dunghutti women, a Kungullanji Program Mentor, and a PhD candidate at Griffith University. Prior to her commencement at Griffith University, Julie was a primary school teacher and had worked in several remote and low SES Indigenous community schools. Julie is passionate about Indigenous education and educational outcomes of Indigenous students. Her passion for Indigenous education is evident through her day-to-day interactions and current research. Julie is enthusiastic about supporting Indigenous students to reach their potential in any education setting. She was thrilled to join the Kungullanji Program as a mentor and enjoys supporting the students and seeing them thrive. Julie’s professional and life experience around supporting Indigenous students has been a welcome addition to the Kungullanji family.
