CJ Vallis is a PhD candidate at the University of Notre Dame who is writing a novel set in the subcultures of the Joh-Bjelke Petersen era in Queensland. Her digital research process explores lived experience with cultural and literary trauma theories. Her creative work has been published in PORTAL Journal of Multidisciplinary International Studies, The Blue Nib, Grieve Anthology, SWAMP, Plumwood Mountain Journal, Vertigo, and she won the 2019 UTS Writing Anthology prize.
