Based in Narrm/Melbourne, studied B.A. Ceramics at Ballarat University, and has a BA in Anthropology & Film and a Graduate Diploma in Museum Studies. She has been a resident artist at Gasworks Arts Park in Albert Park since 2019 and her practice is hand building abstract, ceramic sculptural forms and vessels. Simple forms with complex surfaces.
She finds inspiration in the incredible variety of visual splendor offered by the natural world. Her practice explores themes of the relationship of humanity to the earth, temporality, permanence and impermanence. She feels deeply about the climate crisis and is committed using creativity to communicate her grief over environmental destruction and the need for action to prevent further devastation.
Her work is held in the Art Gallery of Ballarat and private collections.
Beyond the studio Cinda works as an independent Arts consultant in Curatorial and Public Art roles.
