Toni Fröhlich is a scientist in the field of nanoscience. He earned his PhD degree in experimental physics at the University of Basel. His PhD thesis ("Towards an Optoelectronic Characterization of Molecules by Nanoscale Gold Antennas") was part of the European research network FUNMOLS (Fundamentals of Molecular Electronic Assemblies). Before that he was working at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot (Israel), the Laser-Laboratory and Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen (Germany).

He is very much interested in discussing scientific topics in an artistic kind of way. Since 2017 he is collaborating with Raewyn Turner, an artist from New Zealand. Together they have created a work, which discusses the effects of nanoparticles in daily life products on the human senses. They could present their work at the VI congress Synesthesia, Science & Art in Alcalá la Real (Spain) and at the Spectra 2018 symposium in Adelaide (Australia).
