Shannan Lim is a Melbourne-based artist and arts educator born in Singapore. He has lectured in film and digital media at the University of Western Australia, and taught physical theatre for adults and children at RMIT University and ArtPlay. Stage projects include Asian Ghost-ery Store (Griffin Theatre), Salty (State Theatre Centre of WA) and The Yonder (The Blue Room Theatre).
Shannan received the Innovation in Culturally Diverse Practice Award twice from Melbourne Fringe, and as a director, the New Director Award at Nice International Film Festival and the FRINGE WORLD Comedy Award. He recently completed a City of Melbourne artistic residency. With collaborators NORMAL CHILDREN, he is developing a series based on Southeast Asian supernaturalism for the screen.
The Fair Play project, funded by Creative Victoria, is an equity and inclusion capacity building program for organisations that receive multi-year funding through Creative Victoria.
The Fair Play symposium will platform the knowledges, leading practices and lived experiences of First Nations, Disability, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse creative practitioners.
