Nadia Headshot

A recent graduate of QUT's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance I'm an independent dance artist based in Brisbane working on professional projects of my own as well as independent and established choreographers in Brisbane and Australia. A committed and active member of the Queensland dance community I'm part of the Ausdance QLD Advisory board and tutor at QUT in Career Pathways in the Creative Industries. My current explorations examined empowerment through movement, self awareness and self acceptance in order to have empathy for others and connect as a community. I've explored these concepts through my dance choreography, performance, teaching and yoga teaching studies.

I believe through strategic involvement with the community we can inspire art enthusiasts. This passion arose from a professional development project I completed last year where I spent 5 months overseas (four months in Europe and one month in New York and Canada). I experienced an established arts culture and I see potential to generate similar value for the arts in Australia. I would be thrilled to be a part of Arts Front U30 to share this vision with likeminded people who can help me take it forward.
