I am a writer, director and performer with my fingers in far too many pies. I've written two plays (Monument, 2018; HIT RESET, 2020), three documentary screenplays (The Road I Travel, The Road To Peace, Life Challenge: Kokoda), a feature screenplay and a TV pilot. I am Partnerships Manager for Shopfront Arts Co-Op, and I run video production company Irony Mark Films on the side. I have also held Editor roles for culture magazine The BRAG and youth website 5Why.

I believe that the Arts Front U30 Symposium presents a grand opportunity for me to collaborate with other young artists on something with a genuine eye for envisioning and shaping the future of culture and the arts in Australia. I’ve been a part of this conversation for nearly a decade now, living and working as an artist and critic in Sydney, and to be a part of this massive, thriving network of creatives would be thrilling. At times, the practice of a writer can be isolated, and it becomes easy to forget the vitality of communicating with fellow artists, or to simply become insular within a given artistic community. I want to bring my eclecticism, my passion for diverse storytelling and my skillsets to the table, and to add my humble voice to this growing chorus of young Australians to shape this country’s future.

With the commitment by the new federal government to renew and reinstate the Creative Australia National cultural policy by the end of 2022, there is a perfect opportunity to complete the Arts Front 2030 work, and promote the ideas and visions for the future that people have contributed over the last five years.
