Charleen Morris was born in the small South Pacific Island of Bougainville and lives in Australia. With a genuine concern for the way we live in the environment that surrounds us, she creates works that reflect the environment she lives in . Her works belong to many private collections in Australia and internationally.

In her own words ” I enjoy travelling, meeting people from all walks of life, creating visual memories of places I encounter. Art to me is a vehicle to express the beauty of the world I see. My work employs bright, flat colours, textures and patterns, incorporating acrylic paints with mixed media and found objects. I research, experiment with methods and materials to produce different forms of contemporary art, hosting an appreciation for geometrical patterns, seeking to create outcomes concerned with symbolism and specific themes related to “How humans connect to the environment that surrounds them”. Since 2017, Charleen has been focused on creating Art that responds to sustainability and conservation of green spaces in urban areas, themes about Native Flora and Fauna unique to her residence City of Gold Coast Australia.
