I am Artistic Director of Tropical Arts Association Inc and have been a practicing Community Theatre Director and CACD worker in Cairns FNQ for over 15 years. In 2015 I won the Australia Day Cultural Award for Cairns. I am also currently working with Arts Nexus - building a stronger arts and cultural sector in this region.
As a practitioner I work with the concept of "Theatre Making for Social Change" and diversity as an artistic rationale. I am an English as a Foreign Language teacher and am an experienced facilitator and trainer in many settings.
I draw people together and am keen to be an agent for change! My personal motto, now adopted by Tropical Arts is "theatre is the answer to everything".
